Procedure to Update Samsung Galaxy ACE S5830 with Revolution Light Custom ROM Firmware:
  • Download the Revolution Custom ROM Firmware package from here to your computer. Once downloaded connect your device to the computer with the help of original USB cable and place the downloaded zip file in the internal memory of your device.
  • Now, disconnect the device from computer and download the ROM Manager app from the Google PLAY Store. Open ROM Manager app and select the option of “FLASH Clock Work mod Recovery” so that the custom recovery image is flashed. Up next select “Reboot in Recovery Mode” for entering the device in the recovery mode.
  • Once the device boots in the recovery mode, select “install zip from sd card” > “choose zip from sd card” and select the Revolution Light Custom ROM Firmware which you have placed in your device.

  • To check on whether firmware has been updated successfully or not, head over to the path “Settings > About Phone” where you will get to see the firmware version as “Paranoid Custom ROM Firmware” based on the latest Jellybean 4.1.2 firmware.
Note: If the device gets into the boot loop sequence or say gets stuck in the welcome screen, just re insert the battery and re follow the above instructions so as to again follow the above mentioned instructions.

  • Once you see the “install from sd card complete” message on screen, select “Go Back” and select “reboot system now” for rebooting the device in the normal mode. To check whether the firmware is updated or not, head over to the path “Settings > About Phone” where you will find the current firmware version.
Note: just in a rare case if the device doesn’t boot up or show the home screen then remove the battery and reinsert the same to boot the device again in the normal mode.

Procedure to Update Galaxy R I9103 with CM 10 Jellybean 4.1.2 based Firmware:
  • Download the CM 10 Jellybean 4.1.2 firmware package and Google Apps Package from here to your computer. Note: If your Galaxy R refuses to boot or gets in the boot loop mode, you need to re insert the battery and turn ON the device normally. You can also re apply the update by following the above mentioned steps.

  • Place the zip files in your phone, ensure that you are not placing the file deep into the device as it may not get detected in the recovery mode. After placing the file, disconnect the phone from computer and turn off the same so that it can be entered in the recovery mode.
