S3 TouchWiz Jelly Bean Addon for Galaxy Nexus

Posted Image
TouchWiz UX Launcher for Jelly Bean was ported by Froilson for other devices than S3. With this Addon you will get an Galaxy Nexus optimized launcher, including many other things known from Samsung Galaxy Phones.

This Addon will work with all Jelly Bean ROMs, even MIUI. It themes all YOUR system apps and doesn't replace them.

New in this Addon Update:

- TouchWizUX Jelly Bean Launcher
- TouchWizUX Weather Widget
- TouchWiz Yahoo Widgets
- TouchWiz themed dialer
- better TouchWiz themed System Settings
- notification badge (for gmail e.g)

There is much more known from previous versions.

I don't have plans to theme it completely like touchwiz, to be honest, there is pretty much TouchWiz Stuff that's extremely uggly like notification toggles for. I think that's the best mix of both, holo and touchwiz.

Important: Since Galaxy Nexus doesn't have a Menu-Button like Galaxy S3 you will have to enable it in your ROM-Settings for the Navigation Bar. In AOKP for example i have set it as longpress action for the third button.
That's the only way to access Launcher Settings, for example to sort your apps!!!

Installation:
- reboot to recovery
- flash it

universal flasher tool creates a backup zip of your theme. so you can easily revert back if you don't like it, no matter which theme you used before. for reverting back simply flash the zip placed in Universal Flasher folder.

Android 4.1 Jelly Bean ist da (Download + Video)

Android 4.1 aka Jelly Bean for the Galaxy Nexus is out!

Just yesterday Google introduced ( we reported ) on the in-house developers conference, the new version of the smartphone and tablet operating system. Today there are already a download to Jelly Bean for the Galaxy Nexus. Of course, I've installed it right and tried to give me a first impression of it. With a small video I leave you to partake with them if you call your own not Glaxy Nexus. If it is, it's ROM can here download. This is simply installed on the ClockworkMod to gain as the zip file to root. It is recommended prior to installing a full-Wipe carried out (data wipe, wipe cache)

Here is a short list of highlights:

  • Google Now: new intuitive optional voice-activated search. In German, unfortunately, still without speech
  • Notification bar displays more content
  • Revised camera, which now changes much more quickly to the photos. Wiping gestures were taken over by Windows Mobile
  • new wallpapers
  • Project butter: provides smooth animation user interface with new
  • Widgets and apps now make space for moving and adding new elements to the Home Screen
Tip: Tested with Titanium Backup with you if some apps like the movie store were frozen and activated if necessary. For me 3 or 4 applications were turned off.

Samsung Galaxy Nexus – PGM Nexus Slide2Wake

Samsung Galaxy Nexus – PGM Nexus Slide2Walk
PGM Nexus or Slide2Walk allows users of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus enfache and convenient unlock its Android smartphones with a casual finger motion across the screen switched off. Ideal for lazy people or finger to all those whose power button for whatever reason (too much flashed?) No longer works properly. In practice this means in the future only with Flash2Walk: Unpacking the phone, slide a finger across the screen and you can end up on his Galaxy Nexus homescreen.
We owe (the original version was originally only available for the U.S. EVO3D) of this port by the way Slide2Walk XDA member bponury-up to the fact that each kernel is not supported yet, there are no limitations in functionality Galaxy of your Nexus.
PGM Nexus is a free version available with limited functionality, and unfortunately a little expensive premium version available from Google play.

Configuration options:
  • start point: X and Y values (as seen from portrait mode) in pixels - where the gesture should start
  • stop point: the same as above
  • Threshold: also X and Y - defines how much your finger can go off the perfect line connecting start and stop
  • timeout (ms): time in milliseconds to discard gesture, so if your swipe takes longer than N millis then it's discarded

Supported kernels (might not be complete):
  • Franco nightly 194
  • Faux123 standard kernel (default from AOKP)
  • Stock
  • Trinity alpha 95

Battery life:
This is not a simple application. It's a kernel module which controls input requests from the hardware. Phone should go into deep sleep and battery performance should not be affected more than 1-5% (IRL I really can't tell if it causes any battery drain at all - if it is - it's insignificant).

Changelog:
  • 1.6 2012-06-26
    • fixed enabled/disabled toggling in gestures which was craaazyyy
    • fixed values switching between gestures
  • 1.5 2012-06-25
    • fixed spontaneous reboot on some kernels
    • fixed "double-swipe-bug"
    • module not loading on boot should also be fixed
    • reboots upon loading module still happen on some kernels - won'tfix
  • 1.4 2012-06-23
    • NEW GESTURE! (FULL APP ONLY) - slide2media_next - play next song (or start playing) with swiping left->right on the bottom of screen
    • fixed error that prevented locking after boot
    • fixed a bug where unlocked app showed as locked
    • fixed gesture descriptions
    • fixed one FC
